Sleep late and
relax. We only have about 150 miles to Haines, Alaska. The culture
center had a great movie about the Kluane national park and the local
first nation tribes and plenty of information about the local area.
Our tour director was armed with a list of places to stop between
here and Haines.
The first stop was
the liquor store where we picked up a 12 pack of Yukon Red.
We then managed to
take in a short walk to a glacier field, a fishing village, moose
marsh (no moose) and then some of the most breathtaking scenery we
have seen on the whole trip. Pictures will not do it justice!
Back in the USA and
down the road to Ocean View RV park. We again are in a gravel
parking lot with hook-ups and great views!
We got set up just
in time for a crab feed with all of the other RV’ers. Good time
meeting other people and eating good food.
We had a relaxing
evening watching boats and a short walk along the bay.
Me: I can’t
remember what those flowers are called.
Hedda: Those are
forget-me-nots….(grimace)
Me: laughing!!!!!
